본 세션은 최근 관심이 집중되는 두 가지 주제에 대한 토론 세션이다. 첫 번째는 미국 심장학회의 새로운 혈압 치료 목표인 130/80 mmHg을 따를 것인지 말 것인지 그 근거는 무엇인지에 대한 토론과, 두 번째는 당뇨병성 신증에서 주된 기전인 사구체 이상과 최근 자료가 축적되고 있는 신세뇨관의 역할의 중요성에 대한 토론이다.
